About RecordingHunt
The national directory of hand-verified recording studios.
What we do
RecordingHunt is a directory built for musicians, podcasters, and audio professionals who need a studio — not a home setup or a garage with foam on the walls. We index recording studios across the United States, organized by city and state, with enough detail to know whether a room is right for your session before you book it.
Every studio in our directory has been verified to offer recording services. We list what type of studio it is, what genres they specialize in, whether an engineer is included, and whether the room offers self-booking. Hourly rates, addresses, ratings, and links are updated regularly.
How studios get listed
We source studios from publicly available data and verify each one by hand. A listing goes live only after we've confirmed the studio exists, is operating, and actually offers recording or rehearsal services. We don't list every business that mentions "studio" in its name — we list working recording facilities.
Studio owners can submit through our Add Your Studio form. Basic listings are free. Featured placements — which put a studio at the top of its city page — are available for a monthly fee. We'll never accept payment to list a studio that doesn't meet our standards.
Why we built it
Finding a good recording studio in an unfamiliar city is harder than it should be. Search results mix professional studios with home setups renting by the hour. Review platforms don't filter by studio type, engineer availability, or hourly rate range. We wanted something more useful — a directory built around how artists and producers actually search for studios.
RecordingHunt is built to help you find the right room, whether you're tracking a full band, recording a podcast episode, or just need a quiet space to lay down vocals.
